kd-pür® Bioherbolisis® Extraction is a breakthrough technology that utilizes enzymes to break cell walls and extract valuable phytochemicals. With this enzyme-assisted extraction technology we can create products with a higher quality than any fresh-frozen process, while utilizing fresh, wet biomass. This technology creates industry leading full spectrum extracts that preserve bioactive terpenes and cannabinoids allowing for greater flexibility in product formulation. Our extracts are free of organic solvents, free from harmful substances, rich in bioactive cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. Consequently, they have an improved taste profile over other common extracts and are well-suited for formulation of functional foods and beverages where taste and odor are key attributes.
kd-pür® Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE). One of our technological assets is a Supercritical Fluid Extraction plant. This technology uses supercritical carbon dioxide (sCO2) to gently extract plant-based material like hemp from unwanted elements. CO2 is a non-hazardous molecule and separates completely from the extract after the process without leaving any residues. Tuning temperature and pressure conditions allows modifying the solubility of substrates in sCO2 thus being able to select the desired extractants during the process. Another advantage of the SFE technology is that CO2 does not dissolve any heavy metals, thus ensuring that no heavy metals are carried over into the product.
kd-pür® THC Remediation: THC remediation is the process of separating THC from a complex bio-matrix in order to attain a non-scheduled final cannabis product, while maintaining the full spectrum character. KD Phyto developed a proprietary THC remediation procedure that removes THC while the bio-matrix is as unchanged as possible. This allows for compliant ingredients for the nutraceutical and cosmetic markets.
